Scotch-Brite™ Metal Finishing Wheel is a highly conformable aluminium oxide wheel, convolutely wound on a core to run smoothly and help create professional finishing results. Our wheels are available in grades CRS and MED and in diameters of 152.4 mm to 406 mm and widths of 12.7 mm and greater.

Use Scotch-Brite™ Metal Finishing Wheel to blend out minor imperfections and give a decorative finish to many softer metals. Our wheels can also effectively blend and match 3 or 4 mill finishes on stainless steel and create brushed or satin finishes on items such as cutlery, appliance trim, builders’ hardware, and plumbing fixtures. The wheels are typically used on stationary machinery, and are available in grades CRS and MED and in diameters of 152.4 mm to 406.4 mm and widths of 12.7 mm and greater. They are highly conformable, and use aluminium oxide, a tough and fast cutting mineral that leaves a consistent finish. Widely used in grinding, sanding and finishing applications, aluminium oxide mineral has a low heat retention. The controlled abrasive action helps prevent undercutting or gouging and can be used on many substrates such as wood and metal, including ferrous alloys. Scotch-Brite industrial abrasives are unique surface conditioning products featuring abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibres. Combining abrasives with the fibres creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. We chose an open-web material that runs cool and is load resistant, which keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibres.
