3M™ UHMW PE Film Tape 5425

3M™ UHMW PE Film Tape 5425 protects surfaces from abrasion. Our tape has a thickness 0.08 mm that offers excellent abrasion resistance, making it ideal for many tough impact wear or sliding applications. It creates a ‘slip plane’ effect to allow contact without wear with an excellent solvent resistance.

For tough impact wear or sliding applications use 3M™ UHMW PE Film Tape 5425. Our tape is an ultra-high molecular weight, polyethylene backing coated with a special acrylic adhesive for bonding high surface energy materials. It resists abrasion, oil and various other solvents, has a low coefficient of friction for ‘slip plane’ effect between surfaces, and is ideal for fabricating or die-cutting into various lengths and shapes. Our tape also helps reduce squeaks, rattles and other noises that occur with movement.
